Which is better?
Which is better?
Which is better overall for a climbing area? From rock quality to atmosphere.
Re: Which is better?
PMRP = Private Matt and Ray Penetration? what could be better than that?
"I just want to disappear"
Re: Which is better?
Only if I could vote for both, they mean the same to me in both quality and atmosphere. So no vote for me

Re: Which is better?
Great routes at both but nothing equals contributions that the Webers have made to rock climbing by opening their home, Muir Valley, to the climbing community.

abstain

Re: Which is better?
This question is totally biased!
I also abstain.
I also abstain.

What's better is having an involved community supporting FOMV and the RRGCC.

Re: Which is better?
I abstain on the vote because the option I would choose is unavailable. I would say they are equal. The Webers/FOMV and the RRGCC take different approaches to land management and route development. I believe that both are reasonable and there is no reason one has to be better than the other, just different. Really, what is better than getting to go out do the things we like?

What would be better is if the two entities worked more cooperatively.falling!!!! wrote:I abstain on the vote because the option I would choose is unavailable. I would say they are equal. Until then, I am voting for the Zoo as the better one.
Seriously though, when people think of going climbing to the Red, they think of THE RED-- and that includes Muir Valley, and PMRP, and Natural Bridge, and those weird Northern regions where people stick funny-shaped gear pieces into the cracks.

There you have it Rick. You can now sleep better knowing that the bizarre competition you've created in your mind is only in your mind.
