Old Fogey Alert!

I climbed for years without ever seeing a dog in the RRG. I still remember the first one, a German shepherd that some newbies in our group brought with them to Tower Rock. The dog went berserk when it discovered a couple of copperheads in the leaves just off the trail. I swear, I just don't get it.

This isn't a problem anymore.

We were at Tower Rock the last two weekends and didn't see any dogs.

Arachnid (topped it out!)
Dog Days (rapped off that horn... EEE!!)
Africa (my partner didn't want to top this one out after the thorn bush top-out of Arachnid)

My hope was to go up "The Corner" and scope out that massive, scary roof and figure out how I want to protect it, but we didn''t have time. I'll be back.

Cool! Good routes. That thorn bush at the top of Arachnid was a mother, even 40 years ago! Have fun on The Corner/Tower of Power. Some folks apparently thrutch up the corner, left side in. Sounds rough. For me it was layback the big flake, then right side in arm bar, then more laybacking and hand jams. It was tons of fun like that, and WAY better climbing than it looked. Be safe.
