Welcome to the fold. You will be made fun of by others, but your brethren will support you.
Can't we all just get along?

16 feet long. 4 sections. it will eventually have a squid on the end. For now, I took a paint roller with flat sides, chopped off the roller part, hose clamped a stiff clamp on it. It is light, it is strong. It is the same pole that one-fall has, but without the squid on it.

The spring on the clamp seems a little too strong, but it will do the job.

safety doesn't have to be compromised by not having a stick clip at a crag. usually there are sticks a-plenty laying around. you can still do anything a stick clip can do, except remove draws from bolts (arguably the least useful function of a stick clip).

(p.s. people please stop using tape on sticks: consider investing in a god damn rubber band you littering sons of bitches)

Phil decked out at Red Rocks years ago. He has a bad knee. You would never know it though trying to keep up with the guy hiking to the crag. :o
