Kid's game
Kid's game
If you don't keep up with the blogs you may find it pretty insane to know that God's Own Stone (5.14) at Gold Coast has been sent this year by the following:
1 - 10 year old
2 - 11 year olds
1 - 12 year old
Give up Pigsteak and Andrew.

Warning this is a flagrant display of trolling: Its their small fingers! Probably makes it no harder than 13a.
Chuffer juice!
Re: Kid's game
If I only weighed 60 lbs. I could send 14's too.

Re: Kid's game
so here is how it works..if the kid weighs 60 and you weigh 150, just divide the two to see the REAL comparison. 2.5 for this example, meaning their 14a is equivalent of you sending 5.6....so really this is non-news.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
Re: Kid's game
Why aren't the kids sending Take That Katie Brown? I mean, it's almost a full number grade easier than God' Own Stone, right?

Re: Kid's game
Ha! 150...maybe when I was 14. Try 210. Which explains why I'm so proud of my 5.6's.

I like your logic.pigsteak wrote:so here is how it works..if the kid weighs 60 and you weigh 150, just divide the two to see the REAL comparison. 2.5 for this example, meaning their 14a is equivalent of you sending 5.6....so really this is non-news.
On the flip side, someone weighing 60 lbs would have to climb something like 5.34b to equal what I'm able to do with my overweight body.
Climb on youngsters, climb on!

Yeah, small fingers can be an advantage, but being short is generally a disadvantage.
FYI, Cameron (age 11) is almost 90 lbs and is nearly 5'0" tall...so he's not much different in size from some of the adult lady crushers. You gonna dis Sasha, Lynn, Whitney, etc?
Bottomline: the route "fit" these kids perfectly...and the weather the past month has been perfect (low dew points) for sending on Gold Coast wall.
BTW, Cameron did Ultra Perm and the finishing crux section was brutally reachy for him--felt harder that GOS to him. So it's all relative, as they say...
