if Ondra had climbed southern smoke, then came back and did southern smoke direct would that still be considered a flash?

No. Not a flash. Just a first go Redpoint. Flash implies you have not touched the rock above what you can reach from the ground. He actually did the same thing before climbing a 14d line that had some convergence with a route that he had already sent. It was called a first go ascent, not a flash.

i bet Omaha and Fifty will probably stay at the grade. SSD has only seen 2 ascents, and Adam T openly admits he was unsure on the grade.
