cold weather crag

Post by c-foot » Tue Mar 18, 2014 9:15 pm

Any thoughts on what are the warmest crags when the weather is cold? Supposed to be low 40's on Sunday. Sport or trad. We swing both ways.

Low 40's is cold in the shade. Low 40's is just right in the sun. Context dependent.

Dolphin Wall only gets morning sun. Matrix Wall gets it most of the day.

dustin has a point. Matrix is never out of the sun its just the way it rotates.

They have been posted a few times. I think they were posted here about three days ago.

There are not enough donations to post directions. You're going to have to find it by yourself. -- Good luck!

necro-bump: I'm looking at going to Left Flank and Chocolate Factory (particularly Gilgamesh, J-Rat, and maybe Gobstopper). Should I be in good shape Friday and Saturday?

Gmesh gets sun most of the afternoon. Gobstopper might get a bit of late morning/midday sun this time of year, but not much, and Jrat's might get a bit of morning sun. But Sat looks fairly warm so it shouldn't matter too much, at least when the temps warm up in the afternoon. Watch out for condensation on Sunday.
