How bad was it?

"turds"? Certainly not the people who were climbing at Muir this weekend.doogievlg wrote:hopefully those turds donated.
The more than 1100 people who visited Muir Fri, Sat, and Sun were terrific. In spite of having mistakenly assumed, that if they came to the Red to support Rocktoberfest, the RRGCC would have made some provisions for having a place to climb, they dealt with over-crowding at Muir with courtesy and good humor. The kept litter to an absolute minimum, and most important of all, they climbed safely. No accidents were reported at Muir this weekend.

Big thanks Rick and Liz for taking one for the team. Good to hear folks were at least respectful and safe

Re: How bad was it?
Just a friendly reminder: the PMRP includes several cliffs and the parking is just not in the one lot in Sore Heel Hollow. There are new areas that opened this summer, and of course, Coal Bank touts some of the best climbs I've experienced to this date - both easy and hard. Have at it!
And just a reminder ... we own it so that means it doesn't get closed. A reserved parking lot for one day of the year ain't much too for all that climbing getting purchased. =)

Lode climbers show up around noon, FYI.captain static wrote:When I drove down to help manage the comp parking about 9:15am there was not one car parked at the Lode. It was a slow morning. Later a number of people blew by headed to Drive By/Bob Marley. Several people going to the comp parked at the bottom of the hill anyways. Plenty of people park at the Lode or at the top of the hill and walk these days. I helped a lost group get to the Chocolate Factory. After 11:30am we stopped managing traffic to Sore Heel.

i think it would be cool if Muir Valley was by reservation, like the tennis courts and golf club courses we all grew up with. lines just reek of entitlement.

If you don't know, it is west of the Mississippi.

I'll answer on the flat question and will bite my tongue on the inaccurate drama of the rest....
The info is coming soon, was delayed. I had another round of knee surgeries, with more on the way and some heavy outta state family issues. Still needing bolt counts and such on a few routes. I'll try to get dan on it in my place. Sorry, I suck.
Back to your normal drama fest, or I could recommend as I'm doing, walking away to the wood shop.

Yeah, we're tired of having to wait to climb at Areagroundshipdrome!
