Roadside open?
Just drove by (June 24,2014) and the closed sign is gone, replaced by a yes we are open. Good news or vandalism?
Re: Roadside open?
Looks like a new website is in the works, which is promising...

Re: Roadside open?
Looks like a permit system and waivers will be required. I'd say best not to climb there until directives have been clarified by the owners.
Re: Roadside open?
I think they/the owners deserve a lot of credit for not only considering reopening but also for making the hard decision to close it in the first place, for all our benefit.

Re: Roadside open?
Clif I agree with ya. However the way they closed it was kinda lame. But they were justified in doing so given the abuse the land endured. Glad to see some movement. Anyone that opens private land to climbing is good in my book. (Whatever that's worth)

Re: Roadside open?
Roadside is NOT open! Just talked to the owner, and said he knew nothing about the sign being tore down and that it was open again... Way to mess it up again (whoever did this), he had intentions on opening back to the public very soon, but I would doubt it now. When will the climbing community stop the bullshit shenanigans, and have some respect for the owners of private property. Hopefully we can find out who the jackass is that decided he/she had the right to open someone else's land to climbers and vandalize property.

Re: Roadside open?
A climber did this, NOT the climbing community. Why would you blame the whole community for the act of one vandal???

Re: Roadside open?
I can not believe that someone would do such a horrible thing. And to think that unbeknownst to us, they were so close to reopening it. I don't even know what to think, or how to respond to such childish idiocy, science friction has been at the top of my to do list for years now. After much searching, I have found the website that best sums up my internal dialog
